About Me
My name is Irena and I’m super excited to be bringing Mommy Connections to Vancouver!
I grew up in Alberta and after university I decided to make the move to beautiful Vancouver. I finished university with a Degree in Marketing and quickly found jobs in event management. A few years ago, my life took an amazing turn when I ran into an old friend and we started dating. Fast forward to today, I am married to my best friend and everyday (and night :p) we have the privilege of raising our beautiful daughter Bosiljka (it’s Croatian, means Sweet Basil).
Like most mothers I am constantly in learning mode to be the best mother I can be to my daughter. After Bo was born, I searched for information or a mommy group who all had the same questions and concerns as I had. I found that information was scattered and often confusing when all I really wanted was an informative support group. That is why I feel so blessed to be sharing and providing mothers throughout Vancouver with access to Mommy Connections. I wish that I had access to a post natal program after I had Bo, not only for all the information and great tips, but also for creating new friendships with other mothers and babies. It is so important to have a strong network of family and friends especially in the first year.
Knowledge is Power, especially when you’re a first time mama!
