To tell you the truth, we used jar food on a little bit. We did table food along with my breastfeeding. Everyone of my 7 kids would rather have table food after i weened them anyways. They liked the jar food but preferred table food most. :)

We used Gerber, but we also did a lot of table food mashed up. It got to the point where, if it came out of a small container, no matter WHAT it was, my son didn't want it. He wanted table food.
